Jaga Jazzist is a restless soul, going in many directions at the same time, but always moving forward. Fast. The band always pushes the boundaries, both personal and musical. That is why they are impossible to categorize. And that is why they are special. Jaga Jazzist is something natural and beautiful. A necessity. For both them and us.

They are just Jaga Jazzist. And this is what they must be.

With ten highly proficient musicians come ten different views on the music, and these eclectic origins are palpable in both the recordings and the live shows. Having been described as 'The Norwegian Cinematic Orchestra' (though somewhat unfairly as the Jazzists are 5 years their senior) since their 2001 signing to Ninja Tune they have toured extensively, playing jazz festivals and electronica shows alike, and always amazing their audiences with the depth of music and skilled musicianship. Now renowned as "one of the best live bands on Ninja Tune", an extremely high accolade in anybody's books considering the company they are in, join us to celebrate the release of the new album 'One Armed Bandit' on Ninja Tune, released 23rd January.

London-based Tokyo child Anchorsong makes great music! Plain and simple. Heavy, technical beats laden with synth-harmonies and moving chord-changes, all set to the beautiful sound (and sight in this case!) of his all-girl string-quartet, he came reccomended to us by DJ Krush and the high-accolade is easily matched by his pure, raw talent.
